One of the world’s most renowned collectors of armor and antique weapons has been able to acquire the Bowie Knife that was used by the assassin that attempted to take the life of abolitionist John Brown during the civil war. He was a proponent of violent action against those that would not abolish slavery. The knife is quite ornate and has a nickel and mother of pearl handle. Michael Zomber is the new owner of the blade and is honored to be able to take possession of such a rare piece of history.
Michael Zomber is not only a collector of artifacts, but he is also a published fiction author whose books revolved around the Civil War time period and the struggles of the people in those days. Because of his history as an author and Civil War enthusiast, some of his fans are speculating whether or not he is planning to write a book about Brown. He will neither confirm or deny the rumors. Some of the novels that he has written include Sweet Betsy That’s Me and A Son Of Kentucky. He also created a documentary called “Soul Of The Samurai” that gained critical acclaim, and is listed on the Internet Movie Database.
As per his bio, Michael Zomber graduated from the University of Illinois and attained degrees in psychology and English. He then received his masters from UCLA in Eglish Literature. His collection has included the weapons once owned by Simon Bolivar and George Washington. Another point of interest is that he not only wrote a television show but he also wrote a screenplay.
